You'll absolutely want to ensure that you're plugging your kiln into an outlet that is on a dedicated circuit - This means that no other appliances are utilizing electricity from the same circuit and "stealing" energy.
In addition - you generally want a bit of room for expansion so that you don't blow your circuit - For example: If a kiln requires 19A, you'll probably want a 25A or 30A circuit.
